I Have Flour in My Hair

This is the biggest bag of flour I've ever purchased. It's frightening. If my mom knew I lifted 25 pounds several times from shelf to cart to car to... well, floor, she'd blow a gasket. But it was essential. Why?

I (like a crazy person) took the job of providing dessert for 250 people today. Yeeeeah. Mind you, I am not a professional baker. I do not have a professional kitchen. I essentially am NOT a professional, but I, in my prenatal madness, decided to take this job. Really, Kendra. The judgment should be much better. But these are for my sweet high school kids and their mamas and daddies, so it's from love.

I'm making orange coconut macadamia nut cookies, apple crisp, peanut butter balls, lemon pound cake, marshmallows, and a few other things. Again, I'm crazy.

So if you think about me today, feel sorry for me. Very very sorry. And if you ever find yourself pregnant and offered a job that requires fifteen pounds of butter (that's not an exaggeration), say no. Or do it and plan on passing out for three days straight after.

oh! Poor thing! I know that food is gonna be delicious, but I hope you are able to sleep for 3 days straight.

wow! good luck! that's as big as our dog food fro th month ;)

So did you think that your mother, who loves you very much, would somehow...by chance...miss reading any of your posts? Call me next time. You can feel better about asking for my help by giving me food!

I am a professional baker and I can tell you that's a big job! Call in some friends to help! Assembly lining stuff always makes it easier. If nothing else, have someone come by to wash dishes as you go so you don't have a huge pile at the end of the day.

And...NO MORE LIFTING 25 LB BAGS OF ANYTHING!!!

Seriously - stop the heavy lifting. Enlist the help of strangers if necessary!

And I want that peanut butter balls recipe!!!
