Faves for October Week Two

So I totally snagged this idea from Laurel Plum Online, but I love it! And I want to do it! Basically she lists out the sites and articles and Internet hodgepodge from the week that she wants to share with her readers. Isn't that nice of her?

Since I'm a new discoverer of StumbleUpon (unless you have five hours AT LEAST to devote to surfing, ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!), I find great stuff every day. My Bookmarks are filling up faster than my freezer fills with ice cream (this week is buy-one-get-one Breyer's at the Teeter... just try and stop me from buying eight containers... I dare you). So here's the first installation of my weekly favorites. I hope you enjoy them. And my sincerest apologies for contributing to your lack of outdoor time; this must be why I'm extremely pale.

Homemade Marshmallows - are you kidding me?!?! I'm indebted, Artisan Sweets! This just screams fall, and I can't wait to try them. Anyone wanna come over for hot chocolate?

Kaz and I are trying to live more green these days, so this post by Danny Seo (who was on Top Design last week! No idea I was following someone so famous!) about having an eco-friendly Halloween is worth looking at. And the homemade powdered sugar idea is music to my soul.

Kayotic Kitchen has what looks like an amazing recipe for savory stuffed apples. Keep an open mind, people. Apples are fab with things other than cinnamon and pie crust.

I just read today's article in my RSS reader and had to stop in to comment. Thank you for sharing your links! I appreciate you crediting me for the idea, but I saw several others doing it first. I think I get a lot more carried away than other bloggers - or maybe I just spend way to much time on the computer! By the way, I hope I haven't ruined your free time by introducing you to Stumble Upon! It is VERY addicting. (A second cautionary tale for your readers.)

Oh and about your Thai article, I had a very similar experience with a Vegetable Korma recipe except mine did not even taste "good". I just can not seem to find a recipe or even a starter to adapt. It's nice to know that others have similar experiences. :-)

I don't know what the marshmellows taste like and probably never will unless you invite me over to taste yours (tiny little hint) but they are certainly eye candy. They're the cutest little things I've ever seen!

I have made homemade marshmallows for years, and they are a million times better than store bought! Enjoy!

Ina Garten has a wonderful recipe for them. I just omit he toasted coconut.

I received my first business loans when I was not very old and this aided me a lot. Nevertheless, I need the consolidation loans once again.
